Meditation & The Buddha's Practical Teachings
Meditation brings us to a composed centered way of being. Silent meditation along with the encouragement of the Buddha’s teachings: integrity, focus, and wisdom, provide ample framework for a beneficial life.
Each Wednesday evening we will meditate (sitting and walking). Then listen mindfully to a talk on the Buddha’s teachings and end with half and hour of discussion and sharing among all attendees.
All are welcome with or without experience and with any spiritual path.
We always offer these practice opportunities for free and there’s a bowl outside the yurt for donations or “dana”, which means generosity in Pali, the language of the Buddha.
We will start promptly at 6:30 pm so arrive a bit earlier to get settled. If you are new, feel free to come earlier for posture instruction and/or to have any questions answered.
