Come explore the transformational power of mindfulness and learn mind-body strategies to manage the stress of daily living

      Thursday from 6:30-8pm

Mindfulness meditation is the intentional practice of paying attention on purpose, deeply, and without judgment to whatever arises in the present moment, both inward and outward, with an open-hearted and friendly quality.

Mindful awareness can be cultivated through practices like sitting or walking meditation, using a body scan and mindful movement such as Hatha yoga, Tai Chi or Qigong. These practices help us connect to the aliveness in our body, which is always in the present moment.

Though meditation has its roots in Buddhism, it’s not a religious practice. Every human being has the innate ability to cultivate mindful awareness by developing our ability to pay attention to our immediate experience. We are often lost in an endless stream of thoughts about the past, the future or fantasies. While sometimes such pre-occupations may be innocent and harmless, more often they contribute to fear, stress, anxiety and suffering.

Join us as we explore mindfulness meditation through various guided practices followed by a group discussion on ways to navigate life with more ease and wisdom.

Please join and RSVP through our MEETUP GROUP to attend. ***

No experience necessary. Suggested donation of $5-15 to help support Dharma Ranch. There’s a dana (generosity) bowl outside of door and Venmo bar code. Thank you!
